A new local foundation, called the Human Fund and dedicated to supporting arts education, will give the majority of its first-year grant money to the Cleveland Municipal School District's All-City arts program.
Although the initial grant amount has yet to be determined, it is likely to be $100,000 or more, with larger grants to come in subsequent years, said John Eby, director of arts education for the schools.
"The goal that they expressed to me, that I got giddy over, was to fund the entire program," Eby said. "That would be just too wonderful for words."
